Sean, by his actions while serving with the marines in Iraq, earned numerous medals before his death, but very few were given, as Sean wanted it that way (Sean felt that his actions were no more than what any other marine would do).
The SASMO will honor Sean and all other fallen Iraq war marines and soldiers, by raising funds on an ongoing basis from numerous sources. All donated funds will be used for costs associated with helping to support surviving families who have lost loved ones serving overseas, killed in action and or died as a result of any recent US military conflict.
